102-104 Yorkville Avenue
Audax designed a rear addition to a three-story commercial building on Yorkville Avenue that was originally a house. The City mandated that the design should provide a pedestrian connection from Yorkville Avenue to Scollard Street. Therefore the contemporary addition features frameless glass windows that protrude into the laneway beside the building in order to maximize opportunities for retail frontage. The building was named after the owner's mother, Marie Cluthe, who once owned many of today's highly coveted properties in Yorkville.
