Intermediate Architectural Technologist Start date: A.S.A.P Job Overview This role is a critical component to the execution of design and construction drawings in the studio. The position will support the Project Manager with technical drawings throughout each phase of a project. The position also offers the opportunity to participate in unique and highly design-focused projects in residential, mixed-use, and hospitality sectors. Qualifications i. Diploma from an accredited Architectural Technologist Program or equivalent ii. Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant post-graduate experience in the production of architectural drawings from Schematic Design through to Construction Administration iii. High level of skill with REVIT, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office applications, and 3D rendering softwares iv. Experienced in the production of high quality renderings and presentation materials v. Multi-unit mid-rise and high-rise residential experience required. Experience in other building types and interiors an asset. vi. Strong knowledge of the Ontario Building Code and other applicable laws vii. Strong understanding of building science and detailing viii. Well organized problem solver Key Responsibilities i. Support the Project Manager and designers in the preparation of Design Development drawings, Tender and Construction Documents, and Specifications using REVIT ii. Coordinate with consultants iii. Assist with construction administration activities, including shop drawing review, specifications, and site instructions iv.
