Architectural Technologist Start date: A.S.A.P Job Overview This role is a critical component to the execution of design and construction drawings in the studio. The position will support the Project Manager with technical drawings throughout each phase of a project. The position also offers the opportunity to participate in unique and highly design-focused projects in residential, mixed-use, and hospitality sectors. Qualifications i. Diploma from an accredited Architectural Technologist Program or equivalent. ii. 3-5 years of relevant post-graduate experience in the production of architectural drawings from Schematic Design through to Construction Administration. iii. High level of skill with REVIT, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office applications, and 3D rendering software. iv. Experienced in the production of high quality renderings and presentation materials. v. Multi-unit, mid-rise, and high-rise residential experience required. Experience in other building types and interiors an asset. vi. Knowledge of the Ontario Building Code and other applicable laws. vii. Strong understanding of building science and detailing. Key Responsibilities i. Support the Project Architect in the preparation of Design Development drawings, Tender and Construction Documents, and Specifications using REVIT. ii. Coordinate with consultants. iii. Assist with building permits and other approvals. iv. Assist with construction administration activities, including shop drawing review and site instructions.
