The Rise of Winter Gardens
January 2017 - Gianpiero Pugliese, Audax's Principal, had his condo photographed for the Mansion section of The Wall Street Journal. Featured on today's cover, the article focuses on winter gardens, which are indoor rooms enclosed by glass doors that can be opened to transform a living space into a covered outdoor terrace. In colder seasons, winter gardens offer a viable alternative to blustery balconies while allowing for outdoor space when the weather is warm. ”You have the benefit of using the space year-round,” says Gianpiero. In addition to having built one for his own condo downtown, Gianpiero is designing winter gardens for 128 Hazelton, a luxury mid-rise project for Mizrahi Developments in Yorkville. Gianpiero gave the Wall Street Journal an exclusive tour of his condo's winter garden to see all of its features. Read the full story here or watch the video.
