128 Hazelton Avenue is a luxury boutique condominium located on the northwest corner of Hazelton Avenue and Davenport Road. Audax's design for the building is a modern interpretation of a classical, 19th-century mid-rise European building typology, and features a rich material palette of masonry and metal. A major focus of the design is the way the building relates to the ground plane and completes the northern gateway into Toronto's Yorkville-Hazelton Conservation District. The façade elegantly wraps the corner of the intersection and is punctuated by two-storey stone archways. The building's materials and scale are similar to the surrounding low-rise buildings, along with the recently completed condo development by Mizrahi Developments across the street. The façade along Hazelton is also set back to align with the adjacent heritage houses and features an intimate residential entrance framed with porticoes, reminiscent of the heritage homes and greenery at grade. Pockets of space weave in and out of the building's facade to help create a welcoming atmosphere for pedestrians and also provide a gradual transition between the public and private realm. The building's nine-storey design includes ground floor retail/commercial space along Davenport Road and underground valet parking for residents. Some of the residential units span the entire floor plate and feature custom layouts that are comparable to the design of luxurious single-family houses.
