Forest Hill Residence

Inspired by Gothic Revival architecture, Audax developed a full redesign for the exterior of this Forest Hill home, blending traditional elements with a modern aesthetic. The residence maintains the elegance and richness typical of a classic Forest Hill home, while introducing a subtle contemporary gesture to the neighbourhood.

The large two-storey limestone bay windows feature corners that are freed from the structure and enclosed with frameless glass. This modern detail was made possible through the use of structural steel support, as opposed to traditional masonry techniques. The design further included refinishing the roof with standing seam zinc, and framing the entry with a zinc and glass canopy, its angled details complementing the limestone façade.
