This multi-unit mixed-use building is part of an evolving stylistic enclave on Davenport Road. Audax was brought in to design a dynamic, upscale building that would address the unusual lot shape and integrate smoothly into the Annex neighborhood.
The residential building includes ground-floor retail and commercial spaces, along with an elegant block of three townhomes that seamlessly transition from the red-brick Victorians on Bedford Road to the corner building. The well-articulated design features a chamfered corner—a detail indicative of the Haussmann style of architecture prominent in the mid-rise buildings of Paris.
The Audax-designed multi-unit building at 128 Hazelton Avenue also features Haussmannian influences, positioning Audax as a key contributor in creating an aesthetic narrative along Davenport Road.
