Audax's new home base is situated in a recently completed mixed-use building designed to capture the old-world charm of an atelier shop on the ground level of a city home. The approach to the project focused on styling the space in a mid-century modern Italian aesthetic achieved by carefully selecting and installing terrazzo tile, plaster crown moulding, and walnut millwork, which contributed to the overall feel of the space.
The fit-out of Audax's new home base is a stunning example of how design and execution can be harmonized to create a beautiful and functional workspace. The boardroom millwork was executed with meticulous attention to detail, concealing the operable door locations. The result is an elegant, clean glass and walnut wall, complete with the added element of reeded glass for privacy. The spiral staircase leading to the second level features black metal pickets and a continuous wood handrail, adding to the overall ambiance of the space.
